The Graves

Compton Chamberlayne has a Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery containing 34 soldiers from the First World War.  28 of these are Australian soldiers and 6 are British and Irish.  The above photograph was taken c.1919 showing the graves with their original wooden grave markers.
