Discovery of WW1 Photograph Album held in archives in Sydney, Australia

We were aware of a very interesting sounding archive held within the Moore Theological College – two WW1 photograph albums held as part of the Samuel Marsden Archives.  The albums contain over 500 photographs taken between Summer 1916 and late 1917, put together by an unknown soldier who was part of the 8th Training Battalion at Hurdcott Camp.  They show lots of completely new images of the camp which has been a hugely exciting find, showing life as it was, with training, route marches and even vegetable growing!
